The music festival Praha žije hudbou – PALLADIUM stage na Republice (June 7–8, 2024)
The beginning of June will be marked in Prague by street music. Street art has a long tradition in major metropolises around the world and Prague is no exception. We are honoured that we, PALLADIUM, can once again be part of the largest street art festival in the Czech Republic, the Praha žije hudbou festival. In front of the PALLADIUM building, you will find a special PALLADIUM stage na Republice during the festival on Friday June 7, 2024 and Saturday June 8, 2024.
Many nowadays famous artists have emerged from street performance (e.g. Glen Hansard, Bob Dylan, Ed Sheeran, ZAZ and many more), so come along and discover some of the future stars. More than 25 locations in the centre of Prague will be enlivened by street busking with lesser-known artists, but now and then accompanied by well-known performers - e.g. Jiří Schmitzer, Igor Orozovič, Michal Horák, Marsell Bendig (with Lucie Bikarova) or Ben Cristovao!
Pre-festival warm-up by Flaškinet in PALLADIUM
The Praha žije hudbou festival starts on Friday, June 7, 2024, but PALLADIUM has a musical performance for you already on Thursday, June 6, 2024. The pre-festival warm-up will take place right in PALLADIUM on floor 0 near the Infokiosk on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The music group Flaškinet, or the bottle music the world has never seen. Flaškinet, is a world unique group that you will not forget! It consists of two musicians, one playing the guitar (acoustic or electric) and the other playing the bottles filled with water. Flaškinet's musical creations will surprise you with their original interpretation of well-known songs and the scope of the repertoire, they will captivate you with their energy but most importantly will take your breath away with the elaborate musical details!
PALLADIUM stage na Republice
From Friday June 7, 2024 to Saturday June 8, 2024 a special PALLADIUM stage na Republice will be built in front of PALLADIUM.
Ben Cristovao
The star of Friday's program of the festival will undoubtedly be Ben Cristovao, whose performance will start at 2:45 p.m. Ben Cristovao is a singer, songwriter, actor and professional jiu jitsu fighter. His biggest hits include the songs Bombs, Heavyweights, Padam and more. Ben's YouTube music videos have a total of nearly 414 million views. His first international hit Future Champ was a collaboration with a Polish producer and a DJ Tribbs. He followed that up in 2023 with Brighter Day with Polish singer Sara James. Both tracks are played on leading Polish radio stations. Ben Cristovao has collaborated on the music scene with various artists - from mainstream artists to alternative genre artists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Ben Cristovao is one of our most listened to artists on Spotify. His latest album Animal was released last November. The song I Don't Need Nothing from that album has over 5 million plays on Spotify. And the other 10 tracks are great too!
Michal Horák
On Saturday, Michal Horák, a singer-songwriter and a teacher, but most importantly, the winner of the Zlatý slavík award for the year 2021 in the Discovery of the Year category, will perform on the PALLADIUM stage na Republice from 7:10 p.m.! With his friend and a musical colleague Pokáč, he sang (and performed in the video) the song from the college environment "Netuším” (“I have no idea") in the fall of 2019. He also performed with Pokáč as an opening on Pokáč´s concerts. He has also opened for a Czech singer Tomáš Klus or the Czech band Chinaski. Marsell Bendig
Marsell Bendig will be the next star to shine on the PALLADIUM stage na Republice on Saturday. He will not perform alone, but in a duet with Lucie Bikárová. Marsell Bending, the younger sibling of a singer Jan Bendig, most recently found success as an actor in director Adam Sedlak's Banger (a film shot on an iPhone). For this role, he even got the Czech Film and Television Academy's Czech Lion Award in the Best Supporting Actor category. This only twenty-five-year-old artist, an actor and a singer in one, Marcel Bendig, will close Saturday's program on the PALLADIUM stage na Republice at 8:40 p.m.
